Joshton Thomas led all scorers with 19pts	Joshton Thomas Newtown HS? Joshton Thomas a 6'6" SG/WF from Progressive Christian Academy , much to everyone's surprise entered the gym suited up with Newtown HS in Baltimore , MD. Nothing is official , transfer wise as we caught up with Thomas who says he is unsure as to where he will be next year and as of right now he is still enrolled at Progressive. Gonzaga vs Newtown had the most intruging matchup of the night as Ian Hummer and Joshton Thomas squared off. Although the Zag's won the game 51-44 Thomas displayed his improved ball-handling skills , bringing the ball up court on several occasions and his physical power at 6'6 225lbs. Thomas looked very comfortable and finished with 19pts and 8 rebs. However on the flipside Gonzaga lacked one superstar , yet got very solid team play from Lindsay , Lemmons and Hummer who all finished with 10 pts each. Pat Dieringer Cardinal Gibbons Class of 2009	Cardinal Gibbons Solid Backcourt I was very impressed from the play of the Cardinal Gibbons guards , Dylon Lormier and Pat Dieringer who combined for 30 of their teams 41pts in a victory over Good Counsel. Dieringer a soon to be senior willed his team to victory hitting some from 25 feet out , scoring 17pts. Lormier from the class of 2010 looked very smooth as well and finished the game with 13pts. Cardinal Gibbons jumped on the Falcons early and never looked back. Despite strong play from Ricardo Gaddy of Good Counsel 14pts (all in 2nd half) , the Falcons could not match the outside shooting of Lormier and Dieringer. Good Counsel's big man Julius Omohuire just couldn't seem to get things going scoring only 4pts in the loss. Cardinal Gibbons won 43-38. Video: Cardinal Gibbons vs Good Counsel
Colin Beatty Duval HS Class of 2009	Rising Star : Class of 2009 The most improved player on the court Monday was without a doubt Colin Beatty , a 6'4" SG from Duval HS. Beatty is very athletic as we witnessed tow monstrous dunks that really helped give his team the confidence to defeat Springbrook 49-41. "Rutgers , Auburn and Lehigh are amongst the earliest schools interested in me" said Beatty a very humble and soft spoken young man. Besides drawing interest at the Rock Summer League , Beatty is also playing AAU with Prymetime Hoopsters of MD and with the combination should gain more interest. Beatty has a very long wingspan at 6'4" and can also knock down shots from beyond the arc. Colin scored a game high 15pts and grabbed 5rebs as Duval HS begins their summer with a win.
