Capitol Hoops - How is your AAU season going so far and what is it like playing the DC Blue Devils?
Stuart - "My AAU season is really coming along well and I am starting to understand that hard work pays off in the end , considering the transition from playing my whole life in Baltimore, MD my experience is far greater than I expected".

- As you enter into your senior year , what are you doing to continue to improve on your game?Stuart - "I watch a lot of film between games with my dad and godfather to see where my weaknesses are and I try to work on them in practice. My workouts consist of swimming twice a week to work on my endurance as well as getting skill set sessions with my cousin Mark Karcher and my trainer Keith Williams".
Capitol Hoops - What is your favorite subject in school and if you couldn't choose
basketball as career what other field might you be interested in and why?Stuart - "My favorite subject is
Science, my career goal is sports broadcasting because I can relate to
athletes and sports situations".
Capitol Hoops -
Your Blue Devils team is loaded with talent , yet you guys still are very unselfish. How is it that you guys are able to play together and still share the ball?Stuart -
"We really trust each others abilities and what
we together bring to the team, we understand that as a unit, we can be
tough to stop"!
Capitol Hoops -
Who are your top college choices and has anyone emerged as a leading candidate in your recruiting status?Stuart - "
My top college choices are Washington State, Tulsa, South Florida, Temple, Central Florida, Fordham, Richmond, Towson State! Washington State has emerged as a leader but I would be just as happy to go to any of these schools, I am a competitor and that is what they all appear to like about me".Capitol Hoops -
You recently transferred to Friendship Collegiate Academy in Washington , DC. How is everything going there and what was your reason for transferring?Stuart - "The decision was simple, but the transition was an adjustment at first! I thank Newtown High for the opportunity ,but it was time to take it to the next level and get serious about my life and being a student/athlete! Friendship Academy is a high school that stresses academics and you must carry at least a 2.25 gpa to play sports. My godfather "Dwayne Wise" who
is very tuned with the recruiting process talked to my father "Big Stu" about the program and we decided as a family that it was the best decision and the perfect fit for my needs. I have two younger brothers that look to me as a role model so I decided to take the first step to being a young man! Coach Clinton has my back and it really helps that he works as a teacher, he watches my every move and he is a disciplinary, but humble person! My day starts early because I drive to D.C. by myself with a car that my family gave me and I only have time to eat, hit the books, workout and sleep! We play a nationally ranked schedule and I was asked by Coach Crouch to be the leader and guide the ship! Averaging 20ppg 6asst. at Newtown and a state title as a sophomore got me the notice of d1 schools but what good is it if you are not prepared to play at the next level? The point that I am trying to make is that talent get you noticed , books is what gets you in school"!Capitol Hoops -
What is your favorite NBA team / Player?Stuart - "
Lakers / Kobe Bryant"Capitol Hoops - Who is your Role Model in life and why?
Stuart - "Both my parents and grandparents---they all play major roles in my personal growth."
Capitol Hoops - Finish the sentence , When I am not playing basketball I
am..........Stuart - "Spending time with family and friends at home".
