Princeton Day Academy closed first round play with two Sunday afternoon wins and a 1st place 4-0 finish in their pool at the famed iS8 / NIKE Tip-Off Fall Classic in Jamaica-Queens, New York.

6’1” guard Darryle Waller’s fourth-quarter steal and three-point play triggered a late rally for the Storm and led to a 61-47 win over previously unbeaten Roberson HS.  6’4” guard Sheldon Thorne led all scorers with 23 points, 8 rebounds and 4 steals, while 6’9” forward John Underwood tallied 11 points, 10 blocks and 8 rebounds.

In Princeton Day’s 81-62 win over Peekskill HS, 6’9” John Underwood led five Princeton Day players notching double figures with 17 points, 8 blocks and 8 rebounds.  6’4” Leshon Edwards added 16 points with three consecutive threes in the fourth quarter, 6’2” guard Jibri Banner scored 16 going 4-for-4 from three-point range, 6’3” guard Stacy Lyons slashed to the basket for 12 points while gathering 5 steals, and 6’2” point guard Jamaur Jackson added 10 points and 7 assists..
