Capitol Hoops -  How has you summer been with Hoop Magic AAU in Chantilly , VA?

PJ -  My summer with hoop magic has been great. I have gained a lot of exposure and had a chance to play against a lot of big time players.

Capitol Hoops - What is it like having tournament after tournament of the best high school basketball players in your own back yard and what have you learned from watching those players?

PJ - I have learned that I too am one of the best players in the area , we are very skilled as a whole in the DC metro area , and I believe that if I work hard enough I can be the best.

Capitol Hoops - You are coming of an all-met honorable mention season as a junior , what are your expectations going into your senior year?

PJ - This upcoming season I plan to lead my team to another winning season, and I also plan on defending our title at States and in the MAC. I'm looking forward to leading and pushing the new players on our team this
year. First of all I want to do whatever it takes to win as a team , but my goal is also to be all-met and MVP of our league.

Capitol Hoops -  As you enter into your senior year , what are you doing to improve your game and is there anyone in particular who may be helping you?

PJ - I believe my name got put on the radar because of my hard work and determination. Also my ability to produce in big games. In our big games last year I scored and led in many categories for my team. I was able to show a lot of people that I could go to a school like Potomac, where athletics is a big priority, but make our school a big name in the basketball world.

Capitol Hoops - What is your favorite subject in school and why? Also if you had to choose a career other than Basketball what would it be?

PJ - My favorite subject in school  is Math, and if I didn't play basketball I would like to be a CEO of a company or own my own business.

Capitol Hoops - Who are your top college choices and has anyone emerged as a front-runner in your recruiting process?

PJ - My top college choices are Robert Morris and Boston University. Both of these schools are very strong in my recruitment process and have shown a lot of promise in my opinion.

Capitol Hoops - What are you looking for in a college that will help you decide what school to attend?

PJ - First of all I must make sure that the school is a good fit for me academically and athletically. I want to have a great relationship with my coaches / players.

Capitol Hoops - What is your favorite NBA team / player?

PJ - My favorite NBA team is the Wizards and my favorite player is Joe Johnson because I can relate to him. He was under the radar and when he got the opportunity to play wit the USA team, he shinned. He was able to show the world that he was one of the best.

Capitol Hoops - For this upcoming season is there anything that you will do differently than last , and how would you want to be best remembered when your basketball career is over?

PJ - This year I will not take a laid back approach. I will push myself and my teammates. This year I will have to really be the leader and back bone of my team. I will have more of a killer instinct this year. I want to be remembered as a great basketball player and floor leader. I want to remembered as a guy who went to a school where academics overshadows athletics, but found a way to make the basketball team shine. I want to be remembered as a top player in this area.

Capitol Hoops - Who is you role model in life and why?

PJ - My role model in life are my parents,  neither to college but still became successful. They had a bumpy road to the top , but they made it. My parents had me and were not able to finish school , however my birth did not stop them. As I grew up they instilled those same values in me. Showed me with hard work, I could accomplish anything. They are my role models because they always are there to push me to the next level.

Capitol Hoops -  Finish this sentence , when I am not playing basketball I am.........

PJ - When I'm not playing basketball I am enjoying life because life is to short to waste it.
