Springbrook 52 Eleanor Roosevelt 48 -
Eleanor Roosevelt vs Springbrook – With the day’s
first two games ending in two twenty point blowouts
, we all sensed that neither 4A teams would win in
that kind of fashion , and we were right.
Senior Deshaunt Walker came out firing knocking
down three early trey balls , giving the Blue Devils
and early 20-15 lead. Eleanor Roosevelt sophomore
Chaun Miller(15pts) scored 8 of his teams first
15pts and kept his Raiders in the game. Junior guard
Howard Wilder(Eleanor Roosevelt) scored on a few
hustle plays before getting a layup to go beating
the buzzer and knotting things up 24-24 at halftime.
Springbrook held the lead throughout the second
half coming down to the final minute. Senior guard
Deshaunt Walker sealed the deal with three seconds
remaining knocking down both clutch free throws
putting Springbrook up 52-48 and advancing them to
their third straight 4A Final appearance. “Big
players make big shots” noted Walker post game.
Checking The Notes :

late scoring 25 in their regional championship win
over Richard Montgomery and 18 tonight.

Hamilton(16pts) provided the early hustle to a
Milford Mill team that experienced an early 21-6
point advantage , while Hamilton scored 10 of the

their own , brining the Milford Mill lead down to
just four points , before junior guard Isaiah McCray
scored the last seven points of the first half ,
giving the Millers a commanding 28-15 lead going
into intermission.

the third quarter giving them a 20 point lead , en
route to a 69-41 win pitting them up against Thomas
Stone in the 3A final on Saturday. Hamilton recorded
a double double with 12 rebounds and 16 points in
the win.
