Capitol Hoops Exclusive : Inside The Paint With Justin Anderson

What makes the 6'5" combo guard , Justin Anderson so special? Is it the fact that he is currently considered the #1 rated recruit in the class of 2012 , or maybe it's the kid's God-given ability to seemingly jump just a little higher than his peers and freakish athleticism. Just maybe it's managing to make the Varsity team as a freshman for a school in Montrose Christian that has produced numerous pro basketball players over the years , yeah maybe that's it.

No not even close , it's not the fact that the kid has a mature game in a kid's fame that makes him the center of attraction. The reason why the lanky guard is so special is the humbleness that remains inside of the Nation's most coveted freshman. Justin is the kind of kid that you just can't help but love being around both on and off of the basketball court  , and as far as his work ethic is concerned:

"Every since I was about 13 years old everyone has been telling me that I'm the #1 player , but that really does not matter because there is always someone trying to work to get your position" noted a humble Anderson post-game as Montrose Christian defeated KIMA Academy Tuesday night.

Justin is in a position right now that few kids his age will ever get to experience , however the summer time Boo Williams prodigy / winter time Montrose Mustang , understands how important is to remain humble. "I take that to the heart everyday , my Dad tells me" expressed a serious Justin Anderson.

There is no question about Anderson's talent , the kid at this point is second to none as far as Freshman are concerned , however it is exactly as stated prior , Justin is still just a kid. The basketball market is about as competitive as you will find anywhere , and how many cases have we seen of prospects considered hands above others at a young age that filter out as college approaches.

"It's easy for me to say that Coach Vetter is picking on me about little things , but I know that he isn't and he is only looking out for my best interest" spoke Anderson of Montrose rich tradition of molding young men into basketball studs. Justin is a coachable kid with a very bright future , and the DMV area is in for a treat over the next four years , oh yeah and he is well worth the $5 admission to see him and his fellow Mustangs in action.
