Ian Hummer 6'6" PF Gonzaga
A local source has confirmed today what many in the prep basketball world have known for quite some time now.

Ian Hummer , a 6'6" forward from Gonzaga College HS in Washington , DC has decided to follow in his Pops footsteps , committing to the Ivy League's Princeton University. An institution regarded by many as on the most prestigious in all of the nation.

Hummer has Princeton bloodlines in his genetics by way of his "pops" Ed Hummer , who led the Tigers to an an NCAA Final Four appearance back in 1965. John Hummer (Ian's Uncle) also played his collegiate ball at Princeton before playing professionally with the Buffalo Braves.

Ian led his Gonzaga HS team to a 34-1 overall record and earned bragging rights as the DMV area's #1 basketball team in 2007-2008. The Purple Eagles won both the WCAC championship and the DC City Title en route to an historic year garnishing the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference team a national ranking as well. Hummer averaged 14.3ppg as a junior and is currently the Class Of 2009's 19th best rated prospect

Hummer who grew up in Northern Virginia , chose the Tigers of Princeton over the likes of Northwestern University and the University of California.
