Capitol Hoops Press

2011 Top Performers
*MVP* Timmone Whatley 6'3" PG Fredrick Douglass  - Whatley slightly edged Remeau in the closest of MVP selections , averaging 12.7ppg while leading his team to a championship win. Timmone is a big , physical guard that makes his living driving strong to the basket and finishing difficult shots.

*Co-MVP* Kervin Remeau 6'4" PG Progressive Christian Academy - Coming in slightly behind Whatley at 12.2ppg and with less of a physical game , what his skinny frame lacks Remeau makes up with finesse. All tournament long the junior guard weaved his way in and out of traffic while also making his bucks in the paint.

The Capital Sports Complex was overflowing with talent from the Class of 2010 at the 2009 Capitol Hoops DMV Top 100 HS Camp.

Leading the pack from 2010 ,  5'9" Corey Spence of Dunbar HS surprising everyone with his play on the floor all weekend. The lightning quick guard from Baltimore , MD outplayed every opposing guard , while a big man with offers from Georgetown and Memphis came in just slightly behind.

2010 Top Performers
*MVP* Corey Spence 5'9" PG Dunbar (Baltimore) - Corey Spence displayed a complete package , scoring from inside and out , toughness , heart and determination at times willing his team. Spence averaged 13.1ppg and set a camp record for 3pt field goals made recording 10 throughout the weekend. Despite being only 5'9" Corey is as tough as they come , and very solid out of the point guard position. Expect his recruiting to pickup this season.

*Co-MVP* Eric McKnight 6'9" PF Princeton Day Academy - The North Carolina transfer put on a shot blocking clinic totaling 2.5 blocks per game throughout. McKnight runs the floor well , defends the paint and scores on put backs. Long with a freakish wingspan , McKnight lists both Georgetown and Memphis as frontrunners in his recruiting story.
