DC Assault 16U Champions!
The 16U Championship game between the DC Assault Gold and the DC Blue Devils was definitely one to watch as Assault Gold came out victorious. DC Assault were led by game MVP Cedrick Lindsay of Gonzaga HS with 17pts. Max Esho added 15pts and Josh Hairston had 11pts. I was really impressed with the way that DC Assault distributes the ball , they play unselfish basketball and very well as a unit. Tyler Thornton is the floor leader of the group , Erik Atkins and Donte Thomas provide a ton of energy as well. The Highly recruited Josh Hariston of Courtland HS played big all tournament and showed why he is one of the top prospects in the class of 2010.

Cedrick Lindsay 6'0" SG
The 6'0" SG from Gonzaga HS was named MVP of the championship game after scoring 17 points against the DC Blue Devils.

Darrell Edwards 6'1" SG
I was impressed with the play of Derrell Edwards of Dunbar HS playing 16U with Team Melo. The kid can shoot the rock , get to the rim and finish. As he enters his sophomore year he should gain interest. Edwards is definitely one to watch out for next season.

On The Rise: Class of 2010

Max Esho 6'7" WF/PF
We knew that Max Esho from Wise HS was amongst the elite of his class , however his potential could catapult him even higher. Max has a nice mid range jump shot and if he can consistently knock it down he will boost his stock tremendously.
